Rotary: A Network of Changemakers

The Ethical Leadership Forum at The Sebastian Hotel - Vail, Colorado

"Service Above Self" isn't just a motto for Rotarians — it's a way of leading. This October, Rotary clubs from across the region come together at the Ethical Leadership Forum for a morning of fellowship, service stories, and a full day exploring what ethical leadership looks like in practice.

I. 8:00 – 9:15 AM: Ripple Effect
A Regional Rotary Breakfast Meetup, open to all

Whether you're a member of Vail Edwards Rotary or traveling in from a neighboring club, this is your chance to break bread with fellow Rotarians, swap stories and share ideas about service projects, and reconnect with the broader Rotary network.

Hear about the amazing grassroots work of Common Ground Relief in New Orleans, a Shoulder-to-Shoulder Nonprofit partner, and get a firsthand update from Dr. Karambu Ringera — former President of the Rotary Club of Meru, Kenya, and founder of International Peace Initiatives — on an ongoing water project supported by Rotary.

II. 9:30 –11:00 AM: Business Session — Employee Health as a Community Investment Produced in partnership with Vail Valley Works

A panel of local business leaders examines emerging practices for supporting employee health and strengthening the communities they serve — proof that investing in your people and investing in your community aren't separate strategies.

III. 11:15 AM – 1:30 PM: Keynote Lunch Session

Health Care as a Moral Ecosystem

The full Forum convenes for a panel discussion and a Jeffersonian-style conversation centered on this year's theme. Rather than treating health as the responsibility of hospitals alone, we'll examine the shared obligations of healthcare providers, businesses, nonprofits, civic organizations, and citizens in building communities where every person has the opportunity to flourish.
